FOCUS creates the opportunity for screen sector companies in scotland to access sector specific business advice and support.
FOCUS is delivered by Film City Futures in partnership with Scottish Documentary Institute, and supported by Screen Scotland.

A sector review found that screen business were not always able to access the business development expertise that they need in order to achieve significant growth.
FOCUS wants to change this, by supporting screen sector companies to gain access to the sector-specific business development expertise that they need from experts in Production, Law, HR, book scouting, sales and distribution, and other areas. This is an opportunity for companies to invest in their own growth, and participating companies will be required to contribute up to one third of the costs of the support.
Each participating company works on a one-to-one basis with a dedicated business development consultant who has expertise in the screen sector. The company is then able to access further support from a range of highly experienced and well-connected experts in areas such as development, finance, sales & distribution, marketing and HR.
Film City Futures will work with 20 companies during the pilot who are committed to growing their business.
